5Points Creative Recognized at PRSA Awards for Good Sam Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

5Points Creative was awarded the Silver Summit Award from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for their exemplary work with the Good Samaritan Hospice ribbon cutting ceremony.

In June 2024, Good Sam opened Roanoke's first freestanding hospice care center. The Sheila S. Strauss Hospice House offers round-the-clock care for individuals facing end-of-life illnesses. The organization collaborated with 5Points to create an event to reveal the facility’s name and to bring communities together to celebrate the opening.

“It was powerful watching the culmination of work at 5Points come to fruition and seeing the community show up for an amazing organization,” said Bruce Bryan, Founder of 5Points Creative. “The success of the event exceeded our expectations, from the number of supporters at the event to Mayor of Roanoke Joe Cobb singing, ‘I’ll Fly Away,’ during the ceremony. It was an experience that I will take with me for the rest of my life.”

Good Sam is a Southwest Virgina non-profit that provides end-of life care to individuals with terminal illnesses as well as familial support. The organization aims to make one's final moments as comfortable as possible while simultaneously treating them with dignity and respect.

5Points Creative was honored to receive recognition from PRSA. The firm has a history of creating impactful public engagement, and these awards highlight the agency's ongoing dedication to delivering excellence for its clients and communities.
